Strengthening the Church Operations Training (SCOT) 4 Highlights

The Jesus is Lord National Operations held its annual JIL Pastors’ Development Program (PDP) and Strengthening the Church Operations Training (SCOT) 4 with the theme “STRONGER, BETTER, & BIGGER”. Conducted on scheduled dates at different key locations based on JIL National Operation’s Mega-group, the training and seminars were attended by Church Pastors and Coordinators, Management Information System (MIS) Officers, Admin Heads, Education Ministry Heads and some Extension Service Church Coordinators all over the country.

The PDP and SCOT 4 is a four-day equipping seminar. The first two days were allotted for the JIL PDP while the last two days was intended for the SCOT 4. The trainings were held last April 22-26 at JIL Church Butuan City to equip the Mindanao Mega-group. The Visayas Mega-group had its chance to experience the empowering seminars last May 6-10 at FGCC Building Jaro, Iloilo. While Southern Luzon Mega-group was trained last May 20-24 at the JIL Church Tanauan City, Batangas. And the Northern and Central Luzon Mega-groups’ turn was on June 23-27 held at Teachers’ Camp Baguio City.

The PDP training aims to empower and enhance the JIL Pastors' skills in church management as well as in their decision-making skills. The very dynamic teachings on Managing Strategy Execution of Bro. Rene Gonzales, the Director for Business Development and a member of the Office of Strategy Management (OSM) of the JIL Church, together with his wife Sis. Carmen, also a member of the OSM has been victorious. Many attested they were blessed and are grateful to have experienced skills enhancement thanks to the various workshops that fully maximized the knowledge gathered from the training for it to be utilized the most practical way possible.

The objective of the SCOT 4 is to equip the pastors and their leadership teams with new techniques and approaches for church expansion and management. Strategies for church expansion through the utilization and full implementation of the JIL12 System was discussed by Ptr. Alexander Garcia, the Director for National Operation of the JIL Church. His wife, Sis. Lilian Garcia, a member of the OSM, shared to the congregation key tactics on how to make the church networks grow. Another important aspect that would aid in the intended church expansion, which is the dynamics of the Management Information System (MIS), was discussed in detail by Sis. Ledy Lugtu, the Admin Coordinator and MIS Head in the Office of the Director for National Operations, and the dynamics of online reporting was explained by Bro. JM Tomol.

The delegates testified they were inspired with the exhortations. Testimonies came in from delegates, sharing how the trainings equipped and empowered them. Everyone also engaged in the workshops designed to further enhance their skills and mastery on the systems of the church.

Our apostolic leaders, Bishop Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva, Dr. Adoracion “Dory” Villanueva, and Sis. Eleonor “Joni” Villanueva-Tugna shared their wisdom and insights with the pastors during the SCOT 4. Sis. Joni, the Executive Director of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW) shared some of the developments and updates in the ministry. She also gave a very timely teaching about conflict management applicable within the church as well as within the leadership of the church. Dr. Dory, the Vice-President of the JILCW, shared a powerful teaching about shepherding. Bishop Bro. Eddie, the Spiritual Director and International President of the JILCW, stirred the spirit and passion of all the delegates to reach out for the lost souls through his personalized talk.


JIL Pastors and Church Leadership Teams committed to take part in building a STRONGER, BETTER, and BIGGER church, a spotless bride for the Risen Christ, one that will prevail until the last days.
